We Have a New Website!

The Duval Progressive Caucus has launched a website to better serve the forward-thinking voters in Duval County:  https://www.duvalprogressives.com

“We needed a clearing house where like-minded people could find information and events they are interested in. If we want to have strength in numbers, we need to be able to find each other,” said Ethan, President of the Progressive Caucus.

The website clarifies the mission of the caucus, “At the Duval Progressive Caucus, we believe that government must be the great equalizer of opportunity for everyone. We are committed to passing legislation that advances justice, dignity, and peace for all people.” and clearly lays out the finer points of what that means.

“Seventy percent of Americans favor expanding Medicare to cover everyone. Ninety percent of Americans want Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices. The things we progressives want to benefit all Americans. Now there is a website that shows locals what we stand for and how they can get involved,”  Kyle Mitchell, Treasurer.

The resources page of the website offers three links: information about registering to vote, including how and why; information about upcoming election dates and deadlines; and opportunities for volunteering.

“There are plenty of people who are willing and want to do something to make a difference and change the direction our area and country are going. Finding those opportunities will be easier now that we have the website up and running,” 

Listings for upcoming events, as well as photos of past events, can also be found on the website. 

“We encourage everyone to check us out, get involved. Our ideas are popular, across political lines. We just need to get the message out.
